SbS Fantasy League: Week 9 Results

During the 2014 NFL season, SbS Football is simulating a fantasy football league in which the teams are based on the hometown states of current NFL players.  For more information on the league, including how the teams were developed, league rules and the weekly schedule, please see our Season Preview.

Week 9 Results
Game 1: Northeast defeated Florida (95.2 - 82.9)
Analysis: Thanks to solid production throughout the roster (six of the eight players scored in double digits), the Northeast team won its second in a row; the Florida team has now lost five consecutive games.

Game 2: Georgia / SC defeated Mid-Atlantic (88.9 - 68.2)

Analysis: Led by two South Carolina natives, Andre Ellington (19.4 points) and DeAndre Hopkins (17.5 points), the Georgia / SC team moved to 5-4 on the season and are on top of the Eastern Division.

Game 3: Ohio River Valley defeated West (78.3 - 65.0)
Analysis: A monster game from Ohio native Ben Roethlisberger (35.1 points) led the Ohio River Valley team to a victory despite only scoring the third most points of any team this week.

Game 4: California defeated Midwest (111.0 - 83.5)
Analysis: Tom Brady (28.1 points) filled in nicely for Aaron Rodgers (bye week) as the California team once again put up the most points this week and remains the highest scoring team in the league.

Game 5: Gulf Region defeated Texas (108.2 - 86.1)
Analysis: Another week, another win for the Gulf Region team; they are now 9-0 and have locked up first place in the Western Division; the Texas team (3-6) is in danger of missing the playoffs.
