Pac-12 - 2016 Rosters by Hometown State

The Pac-12 is heavily dominated by players from California as approximately 45% of all players in the conference are from the Golden State.  Every team in the Pac-12 has at least 23 players from California, as well as at least three players from Texas and one player from both Arizona and Hawaii.
  • Arizona has 42 players on its roster from California, including QB Khalil Tate (Inglewood). The Wildcats have 37 players from Arizona, as well as the only player in the Pac-12 from New Mexico.

  • Arizona State has more players from Louisiana (6) than any team in the Pac-12. The Sun Devils also have 26 players from Arizona and 35 from California, including QB Manny Wilkins (Novato, CA).

  • Cal's roster includes all three players in the Pac-12 who are from the state of Mississippi. The Bears also have seven players from the state of Texas, including starting QB Davis Webb (Prosper, TX).

  • Colorado has 43 players on its roster from California, eleven more than the amount from its home state (32). The Buffaloes have four players from Washington, including QB Sefo Liufau (Tacoma, WA).

  • Oregon has more states (26) represented on its roster than any team in the Pac-12. The Ducks starting QB Justin Herbert is one of two QB's on the roster from Eugene, OR.

  • Oregon State has more players on its roster (8) from Hawaii than any Power 5 conference team. QB Darell Garretson (Chandler, AZ) is one of three Beavers from the state of Arizona.

  • Stanford has more players (7) from the state of Georgia than any other team in the Pac-12. The Cardinal's strong east coast presence includes starting QB Ryan Burns (Leesburg, VA).

  • UCLA is the only team in the Pac-12 without a player from the state of Washington. The Bruins have seven players from east of the Mississippi River, including QB Mike Fafaul (Cockeysville, MD).

  • USC has 72 players on its roster from California. Texas (5 players) represents the next most players for the Trojans, including RB's Aca'Cedric Ware (DeSoto, TX) and Ronald Jones II (McKinney, TX).

  • Utah has more players (10) on its roster from Florida than any other team in the Pac-12. The Utes also have 33 players from California, including starting QB Troy Williams (Carson, CA).

  • Washington is the only Pac-12 team without a player from the state of Florida. The Huskies have 55 players from California, including Heisman candidate QB Jake Browning (Granite Bay, CA).

  • Washington State has 47 players from California on its roster, nine more than the amount of players from its home state. Starting QB Luke Falk (Logan, UT) is one of two Cougars from Utah.
